Our Classes
Our weekly classes run during school term time, with terms usually lasting around 12 weeks. The number of sessions can vary from term to term depending on the school calendar.
Fees are calculated based on the number of sessions taking place each term and are invoiced at the beginning of each term. Fees must be paid in full in advance and we are unable to offer session-by-session payment. The fees shown for each class include the session rate and the equivalent cost for a 12-week term to help give an indication of the cost.
All of our classes work towards end-of-term performances and showcase opportunities throughout the year.

Theatre scope
Musical Theatre
Our flagship Musical Theatre class offers four and a half hours of singing, dancing and acting every Saturday, giving young performers the chance to fully immerse themselves in everything musical theatre!
Students develop skills across all three disciplines while building confidence, creativity and friendships in a fun, supportive environment. Our approach is child-led, meaning every young person's ideas and interests are valued and nurtured. We listen to what our students enjoy, what they want to explore and the skills they want to develop, incorporating their ideas wherever possible so they feel a real sense of ownership over their class.
Each year, the group works towards a fully licensed Junior musical production, experiencing the whole journey from auditions and rehearsals through to performing a complete show on stage. They also perform in our termly showcases, giving them even more opportunities to develop and show off their skills.
Whether they love being centre stage or are still building the confidence to step into the spotlight, every student is an important part of the company and everyone gets their chance to shine.

Act Attack
Drama
An acting class for 6-11 year olds.
Act Attack is a fun, energetic acting class designed for young performers aged 6–11. Each week, students will develop their acting skills through exciting drama games, improvisation, character work and performance techniques.
Our classes help build confidence, creativity, communication, social skills and teamwork, all in a relaxed, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to have fun and be themselves.
Alongside developing their skills, students work towards producing a high-quality show each term, giving everyone the opportunity to perform, build confidence on stage and show off everything they have learned.
Perfect for children who already love performing, as well as complete beginners who just want to give acting a go!
11-14 Years

Principal Performers
Drama
Our Drama class for 11–14 year olds is a creative, energetic space where students can explore acting, build confidence and, most importantly, have their ideas heard.
The class has a strong focus on improvisation, character work, storytelling and performance, encouraging students to think creatively, take risks and turn their own ideas into scenes. Our sessions are child-led wherever possible, allowing the personalities, interests and sense of humour of the group to help shape what we create together.
Alongside plenty of fun and laughter, students develop valuable acting skills, learn to work as an ensemble and grow in confidence expressing themselves in front of others.
Students also have opportunities to showcase their work in our termly performances, giving everyone the chance to put their developing skills into action on stage.

Act Academy
Musical Theatre
An introduction to Musical Theatre for 6-11 year olds.
Act Academy is a fun and exciting musical theatre class for young performers aged 6–11 who want to develop their skills in singing, dancing and acting.
Each week, students explore songs and scenes from a range of musicals while learning basic choreography, singing techniques, characterisation and acting through song. Classes are designed to build confidence, performance skills, coordination, teamwork and creativity in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Students will get the chance to experience all three areas of musical theatre, helping them grow into confident, well-rounded performers while having lots of fun along the way.
Each term, the class works towards a high-quality musical theatre show, giving every student the opportunity to perform on stage and showcase everything they have learned.
Perfect for musical theatre lovers and complete beginners alike!

Stage One
Drama
Stage One is Gantry Youth Theatre’s class for performers aged 14–18, designed to challenge our older members and prepare them for greater responsibility within productions.
The class focuses on developing strong acting skills, confidence, independence and performance technique, while pushing members towards larger roles and lead opportunities in our main productions.
Stage One is designed to fully develop each performer, giving them the skills and confidence to access a wide range of theatre opportunities, explore more challenging material and really showcase what they can do as actors.
8-16 Years

Vocals with Katy
Our Vocals class is a fun, supportive and confidence-building space where young singers can explore their voices and discover the joy of singing together.
Students work on group numbers, harmonies, duets and solo singing, exploring a wide variety of musical genres and styles. We use fun games and activities to develop singing techniques, musicality, rhythm and performance skills without making sessions feel overly formal.
We also introduce healthy, age-appropriate vocal warm-ups and techniques, helping our budding singers learn how to look after their developing voices safely.
Whether they are confident soloists or happiest singing as part of a group, every student is encouraged to develop at their own pace, try new things and have their chance to shine in our termly showcases.
